Sure can and will.
We have Coyotes here in the city (Vancouver, BC) and there are always signs all over about small and medium pets .. and I imagine a good deal have fallen victim to them. I keep my chi on a short leash when I take her outside, and my cat is an indoors only cat. My 125 lb dog came face to face with a coyote a year ago, but he knew it wasnt a dog and and turned to avoid it (we were on a leash-free dog walk area).
I have heard that coytoes are very smart, skilled hunters, and that they will even send a bit ch in heat out to snare a dog, then attack in a pack to kill it.

yes i am sorry to tell you this but yeah they can get large cats and i know this for a fact because foxes that live were i live have eaten some of my cats and foxes are way smaller than a coyote.

Yes, they will get a domestic cat of any size. Small dogs will go down to them as well. Especially hungry coyotes that haven't eaten in a while. If they're hurten for food, they'll go for the easiest source. And, cats and small dogs aren't that hard to get to if they see it.

sadly yes, we are getting a lot of coyotes here in my county now, where we used to have hardly any, I work for a vet and alot of customers come in telling is that the coyotes have gotten their dogs & cats, one lady was getting her clothes off the line, while she let her poodle out & a coyote came in the yard and snatched her poodle right in front of her. It is legal now here to shoot them day or night if you see them..

yes they can get them i keep mine inside my sister lived in conn and coyotes took a kid that lived near her so yes they can get a kitty to
