what is the difference between these two? aren't counting points just another way of counting calories?

The Weight Watchers point systems takes calories, fat and fiber into account, so it's a little different. I like their system. If you have one of their points calculators you can see how it works.

Basically yes. I think I could have 22 points a day. That equaled roughly 1,000 calories.

forget counting calories.....count fat grams....why no one has come up with a "diet" that just counts fat grams is beyond me...women stay under 28 fat grams a day, no matter what you eat, will lose or maintain their weight...it may be 3 french fries, 1/8 of a piece of pizza, but its the fat that adds fat...there is 0 grams of fat in raisins, yet hundreds of calories....food and no excercise no matter if it is fat free= gaining weight....lost a ton of weight counting only fat grams, and walking.....no $$$ spent on overly priced ready diet meal food programs, and counting points.......try it....what have you got to lose..
