Before you download the SP2 make sure to run disc clean up and defrage your computer. Go to Start, then to accessories, click on System tools and you will find both of these there. Do them in the above order.
Then you need to make sure that you have a program on your computer for finding all the adware on your computer..If you do not have a program, you can get on for free at CNET/dowload. A good one that I use is Ad-Ware SE Personal. Run this program to get rid of all adware before downloading the SP2. This should be run daily to keep you computer from being sluggish.
This was suggested on the Microsoft page when I was reading about downloading the SP2 to my computer.
If you are just now downloading this, you have a lot of other patches and fixes to download as well. This is going to take some time. You might want to check out this site before doing so.
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/update/downloadinstall.mspx
Then go to the site listed below to download the SP2.

ok. go to www.windowsupdate.com and let the site scan your
computer for the software it needs. once it tells you what you need you'll have the most important things you need in bold letters up-top and the things you'll least likely need on the bottom.
depending on your connection your in for one hell of a waiting period while your computer updates itself and actually becomes smarter than what it was before.
for easy acess to the windows update site click the "start" button
and you'll find a earth type shape with the microsoft logo thingy on top that reads windows update. drag it from the holding slot to
the desktop and click it. it'll take you strait to the site. once you got all the updates needed and wanted clean out your hardrive
by clicking on the 'disk cleaner' and select the drive you want to clean. if you actually do do this clean out the recycle bin to speed up programs.
i'm glad to help.
(and learn to spell you fool. that's why they made hooked on phonics)

hi your self. i'm definitely extremely under pressure on the 2d... I definitely have 4 instructions right this moment (the next day I in basic terms have one classification although so as that's stable) yet yeah, 4 instructions right this moment and then next week I definitely have a try in chemistry 2, physics and calculus 2.... not likely to be an extremely exciting weekend. i'm specific you're doing extra effective.

What is the problem? Have you tried to install SP2 and failed?
Your post doesn't make it very clear what your problem is.

all you need is windows xp, go to control panel add/remove and check if you have service pack2. if not go microsoft home page or windows update and see if you can still install it for free.
