I don't want to categorically say no without knowing what sort of blood test they plan to take, but I don't think that having artificial sweetner interferes with any lab tests (at least not any of the ones I order)

Vertigo is often caused by an inner ear problem. I work in a lab, but have never heard of it causing vertigo.

If I were you, I'd still stay stopped with the artificial stuff and go back for re-evaluation.

It is possible that they're going to test your blood for something really unusual so follow the instructions. There may possibly be a chemical in the artifical sweetener that could cause an interference with the blood test and that could cause a bad result. The artificial sugar in and of itself probably won't show up on the test, but if it could cause the test to be bad, that will cost you time and money and another veinipuncture to have it repeated.

Why didn't he prescribe medication for that? I had vertigo a couple years ago and after taking the meds for a couple of days it went away. Aspartame which is a artificial sweetener is a very dangerous thing to everyone but especially if you're allergic to it.
It has caused brain tumours and many other illnesses and should be outlawed by the Drug Administration, but it's all about money. I don't think they can see it in a blood test, however if the symptoms still persist even if you have cut out all artificial stuff, which includes most sugar-free gums, you should ask for medication. I forgot the name but it's made by Solveig Pharmaceuticals.
Hope they find out what's wrong. Best of Health.

Are you sure about this. I thought real sugar was a factor in vertigo?
