This dessert is so easy to make, with only 5 ingredients and easy prep. Make sure you cover the mix entirely; how thin you slice the butter will determine the amount that you use. To serve, use a scoop or a spoon. Enjoy!

Cherry-Pineapple Dessert

1 20oz can crushed pineapple
1 21oz can cherry pie filling
1 package of yellow cake mix
1 3oz can pecans (1 cup chopped)
1-2 sticks butter, very chilled

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9 pan. Spread pineapple in pan. Spoon pie filling over pineapple. Sprinkle cake mix over filling, then sprinkle chopped nuts over mix. Slice chilled butter into thin strips, and cover the entire mix. Bake 50 minutes.

Homemade toffee--4 ingretients.

1 cup finely chopped walnuts
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chocholate chips
1 stick of butter

glass dish, about 8 inches by 8 inches, plastic wrap

Butter the bottom and about 1/2 inch of the sides of the glass pan. And pour all but a handfull of the nuts in the bottom of the glass pan.

Cook the sugar and butter for 7 minutes at medium. The higher you cook it (like med high) and if you make it smoke, then it will get hard when done. Stir during the whole 7 minutes w/ a wooden spoon.

Then pour the toffee into the pan. Get it even by tilting it a little, but careful not to spill as it is very hot. Then sprinkle the choc chips on top. Immediately cover the top of the pan w/ plastic wrap. Wait about 5 minutes, use a butter knife to spread the melted choc out evenly, sprinkle the rest of the walnuts. And score the candy so it is easy to cut.

This is a very easy dessert. If you have a chopper, then it can really cut down on the preperation time.

Brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream are always good. If you want to make the brownines, here's an easy recipe.

1 cup (2sticks) butter or margarine
4 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups granulated white sugar
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 13x9 pan. In a saucepan, melt butter and chocolate. Stir in sugar. Let cool briefly, then beat in eggs one at a time. Add remaining ingredients. Spread in prepared pan. Bake about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

One reason I like this recipe is that it can be easily cut in half or quarters if you want a smaller amount.

Buy two packages of cheapo icecream sandwiches, store brand. Then buy two containers of cool whip, one chocolate and one vanilla. lay down a layer of icecream sandwiches and cover with a layer of cool whip, lay down another layer of icecream sandwiches and then top with a layer of different cool whip. Sprinkle with topping, sprinkles, nuts or whatever then serve. Also you can crush or chop up in blender candy bars and mingle with the cool whips and use for toppings. Quick easy an not too expensive. ( am I good or what????)
