Remove is to take away. Move is to relocate. Remove does not imply that the item cannot be reintroduced to the location or environment again e.g. I removed the dresser from the room but decided to move it back when I saw the room without it.

Person or item moved can be active or passive. Removed item or person is always acted upon. Remove implies that the person or item where subjected to another acting on them, so remove is active. Both can be temporary or permanent, although moved is often used for permanent.
