No. It's his property! If someone told me to remove my Green Man mask from my yard, I'd be pissed off to say the least.

Ah, the poor atheists are so offended if they see a cross, they go all ga-ga, start lawsuits and do anything they can to get rid of that offensive symbol of faith. The cross must be the most frightening symbol in this world, though I haven't a clue why. The politically correct, small minded, easily "offended by faith" people are destroying this country. They're taking away the freedom to do much of anything. We can't have a cross in our own yard, can't have signs supporting our troops, which is ludicrous by the way, since it should not offend any American to support our own people, and pretty soon they'll be telling us we can't wear crosses or patriotic clothing, some poor little atheist might get get offended. Personally, I think we should stop all this stupidity and get counseling for the people who are so weak minded they can actually be offened by crosses or patriotism. Good grief people, if you can't deal with seeing a cross, stay home. If you can't deal with patriotism, move, and seriously, if you're that easily offended, get therapy.

He agreed to the homeowners association rules when he purchased the property. It isn't a new rule, so just because he is a priest why whould that give him the right to violate the rule. (I know priests think they have the right to violate all kinds of rules)

Homeowners associations are rather restrictive. If you move into them you only have so much control over the outward apperance of your properity. I personally like mine. It keeps the nieborhood looking neat and on a single theme and that keeps the values of the houses up.

Would you feel it OK if it were a statue of a devil? Ok maybe one supporting the KKK. If you say no, then you have to side with the association.

This is a homeowner's association doing this. Not a government agency. It's perfectly legal to have one on your own yard...UNLESS...you live in one of those communities that have a homeowner's association. Those places can make all the rules they want, and you sign a contract going in, so should know their rules. I would not live in a place like that. As you can see by the article, they forced another tenant to remove a sign saying "Save Our Troops", I believe, and that sure is un-American!

The Answer is NO,
Im an Atheist and I don`t care about that stuff .
I am even for a moment of silence in schools for others to pray or do what they want with the time .
I am also an American and I believe we still have rights here.
Let the priest display what he wants .

Home owners associations are snobbish & usually have the most ridiculous rules.

He did sign a contract to ad-hear by the home owners association by-laws. Stupid yes. Prejudious against Christianity- Yes. He is free to move to a place that isn't similar to a Nazi's commune. If I were part of that Home owners association, I would voice that I do not favor thier by-laws and get it changed by grouping with other Christians who pay the homeowners associations - without the dues being paid by Christains - would the homeowners asso. exist?

If he signed the homeowners agreement, they can ban him from having ANYTHING in his front yard. He most likely willingly gave up his right to put things in his yard.

I read the article, and I hope he appeals this. That is ridiculous. I'm all for freedom of speech, but these stupid little PC groups that are popping up need to be stopped. Florida residents, rally against this!
