i have really long hair. its to the middle of my back and i really like it but the ends feel really gross and it has split ends. its like that for like 2 inches of the ends. i am will ing to cut 1 inch off but what do i do about the other inch? ive tried deep conditioning and everythin! what do i do?

I had long hair and had the same problem - however I discovered that after I made the big cut (more than 3 inches) my hair started growing faster and better. I also found that a trim - less than 1/2 an inch every couple of months - helped keep it healthy.

You can have the split ends cut off of course. First of all you should check out some beauty shops or a professional hairdresser who may give you advice. Also go to a beauty supply store such as Sallys and ask them for a good product for split ends. Sometimes a good hot oil treatment may help. If you go ahead and get one inch cut off perhaps you can then have the rest of your hair cut in layers without effecting the length.

cut 2 1/2" inches off to totally get rid of all your split ends, then deep condition your hair once a week
try not use heated appliances on your hair

Well, unless you want unhealthy hair, you need to cut off a good 2+ inches. Your hair is too long and is getting unhealthy. Look for a repairing shampoo and cut your hair ASAP.

just cut it the extra inch or live with the split ends or maybe try eating something that will show in your hair later when you cut the extra inch. i would say regular trims !

dont freak out. this happens to everybody! this happened to me and i was upset, but then i found out wat to do. first of all, dont deep condition. that will just make the ends more oily. you can still condition, just not too much. insead, use a special shampoo that will help your hair instead of just cleaning it.
maybe a certain hair break-up shampoo? i use that, it helps. also, even if u may not want to, cut both inches off. i know it sounds dramatic, but trust me it would help your hair sooooooo much, and it will grow back before you know it! hope i could help!

Yea...my hairs that long 2 and i want 2 keep it that long and i might get a trim 2..so 2inch wont be that bad actaually b/c yur hair will be wet when they cut it and if you straighten it -it will appear longer!!

There is no way in the world to get rid of them your just gonna have to cut them dont freak out it will grow back!

I kinda had the same problem, you're gonna have to cut it, and who knows, you might actually like your hair shorter. I did!

i would cut off two inches. it would probably really help ur hair.
