I have Grisoft AVG installed two weeks ago and is great. I have a friend who works in IT at work who uses it at home.

AVG Free is still the best. I've used it with Spybot and AdAware for just over a year, and I've never had anything slip past those three. AdAware usually picks up nasty cookies, but the other two have been too good. The AVG works on my incoming Google mail and outgoing mail as well - very efficient.

Click on the program's name in that list and it will take you to the download page.
AVG's anti virus is the most popular one. I'm using eTrust's 12 month trial which is excellent.

With Road Runner - you can download Computer Associates ( CA ) firewall, spyware, antivirus, and pest remover. It's free with your subscription to Road Runner, and it is awsome.

I use ZoneAlarm and it is outstanding, it is fully configurable and here is a website where you can have your pick of one to many firewalls, proximitrons, scanners, anti-virus and much more. good luck and let me know how it went.
