this is my favorite proverb; (it's Jewish by the way)

what do you make of it & don't you think it's a little contradictory, :)) only for a non-believer but I happen to have my doubts at my lowest points

thanks

God does not play favorites. The person with the broken heart is no more important to him or receives no more attention than anyone else.

when your heart is broken.truly broken, so badly you can not think well. feel. anything. and you have an emptiness.the spirit of god is right there to fill the void. I know is for a fact.because I finally let go and let god. and his spirit filled me. and I was healed. and had a better understanding of the spirit.may gods spirit be with you today, and forever.

i think it makes a lot of sense. god is closest to those with broken hearts because they have no one to lean on so He helps them. He guides them back onto the path. You find yourself through God when you are in tough situations like that!

i doubt there is one amongst us who hasnt had a broken heart
if this is so then God is with us all
the thing is even if God was there in full force at the time , when our heart is broken we wouldnt feel anything but our own sadness

those with damaged hearts might want to be alot of persons. someone who has a loved one die God might want to be there for them truly. someone hwo has had to face a divorce at the same time as they were chated on and that is no longer what they wanted. i visit imagine of alot of situations God is ther for us and not in any respect in difficulty-free words at the same time as there's a damaged coronary heart.

"A broken heart has so much to say, but no words use."
It's at our lowest point when we find out what we're made of, and what we truly are.

Is this why Xtians are all so miserable? Because they're trying to get closer to God?

yup, I think most of us do. I have never heard anyone say, "I want to kill myself! Praise the Lord!"
it just doesnt seem possible.
