I think the thing that bothers most non Muslims, me included, is not the head scarf but rather the burka-like dress. There's something about not seeing a person's face that seems sinister. It creates a similar feeling in me like witnessing a robbery where the thief wears a mask. By not showing the face you are in fact masking the identity of the person. This is very uncomfortable and disconcerting. It is not at all like a nun because the nun's face is visible.

people don't have a problem with seeing a nun dressed this way because Christianity and nuns are not depicted the way Muslims are.
with thanks to the media Muslim women who have nothing to do with any of the media hyped 'terrorism' crap going around are suffering for doing exactly what nuns do..which is devoting themselves to their religion and dressing modestly.
It's completely unfair the way Muslim women are looked down on because of their choice to wear a head scarf. It's amazing to see that this kind of racism or prejudice still exists in this day and age. I think everybody who has a problem with any person dressing to suit or practice their religion is intolerant of change and is therefore xenophobic.
May Allah (swt) open their brainwashed minds and blinded eyes to see the light.

As long as they are not being forced to wear it or pretend that they arent.
Why do muslims have a problem with UK non muslim women wearing what they like?
Have you noticed if a white woman starts dating a muslim in UK,she changes her name, converts and starts wearing the clobber.
You just cant be a female and be with a muslim man unless you take on the cult.

Ok listen if u are modest without hijab then Good for u .. u are a Good well raised girl if u wearing hijab and not modest then Yes its wrong, bcz we should be modest too with behavior not only the look BUT .....u have to understand the duty is duty the hijab is a duty...wether u are modest or not....Yes u should be modest but hijabi is a Must. just like praying,,,, u have to pray whether u are concentrating or not....Yes u should have concentration but should i say, well the Faith is in the heart so let me leave Salat? like well im modest so why wearing the hijab? the duty is a duty... u cant leave it nor replace it.even if u are modest. i hope u get what i am saying here, Salam

It's because nuns are committed Christians and peaceful by nature - including the one murdered by Muslims who misinterpreted the pope's speech. Muslims on the other hand are members of a wicked cult intend on converting the whole world to their beliefs by any means however violent. Islam is alien to our country whereas nuns are Christian, the religion on which our society is founded.

I don't think it has much to do with the outfit itself... In my case, I work in retail, so I see many peple every day, and the complaint I have is that the women covered from face down don't seem to use deodorant. It has, on occasion, been very difficult for me to wait on someone who has an offensive odor.

I think the same toward veiled women as I do women who only wear skirts because of their religion in the US. I feel pity on them for them for falling for such manmade rules.

you would not throw a veil over a beautiful rose, god would not, nor, would he tell anyone else to, those who tell you to, don't want your beauty seen.
