Should Japan and South Korea be allowed nuclear weapons as a deterant to North Korea? If N.Korea were likely to strike anyone, it would probably be Seoul, in South Korea first...

Absolutely not...The axis of stupidity (US and England) have over 25 thousand nuclear bombs between them, and they constantly use that to threaten people all over the world who oppose their plans for world domination. North Korea would most certainly use nuclear weapons against the US if it were attacked. An exchange between North Korea and the US would cause untold damage not only to both countries, but to the entire world, with radioactivity scattered all over. And all this because that stupid little boy in the White House refuses to talk with anyone who doesn't kiss his...

No, this is not the start of WW3. I'm sure that calmer heads in the government will keep little George in check, just as China will keep North Korea in check. A lot of this talk is just posturing by both sides. North Korea figures that if it "loses" a war with the US, it'll soon be an economic power (see Japan). Bush needs to talk about something other than Iraq and Foley.

World War 3 , Hmmmm? I think it is in the beginning stages, but I also think N.Korea might be dealing with Iran and /or Terrorist organizations. If anyone starts WW III It would probably be the U.S. If you look at history We knew about Pearl Harbor and let it happen, and we either knew about 9/11 and let it happen or helped it happen I also think everybody should get rid of all NBC weapons because they are not fair on the battlefield.

This world will not end peacefully, - but to say it's gonna be a nuclear showdown with N. Korea is overstating their capabilities for now.

We're already in WW III where have you been?
n. korea is just another front in the war on terror. They're aiding iran in their nuclear endeavors. We should have already slapped both of them down.

We'll have another arms race and the western world will win it again. There's only 3 countries that I trust with nukes and those are U.S., U.K. and Australia. Those are the only countries with the morals to use them correctly.

Yes I think this is the start of WW3. It's too bad that grown men can't settle their differences by just talking instead of threatening to blow up innocent people.

I think it is very possible.

N.Korea is a loose cannon - impossible to reason with.

The world needs to cut off N Korea. I feel bad for the people who live there and will suffer, but they need to be removed from the world community.

Both countries know it will be the end for BOTH of them and the world. So... who would win? No one. Showdown? I don't think so
