Shall we set a date for a worldwide collective admission of non-belief?

I think religion is a 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' kind of thing - No-one actually *believes* that any gods exist, they all just say they do because of tradition and social conformity, when in reality we all know it's just fictional nonsense. So, I propose that we set a date where all religious people can 'come out' and candidly agree with each other that it's a load of tosh, and move on to a more rational worldview. This would be a great advance for human civilisation. We could all get on with making the best of what is the only life we will ever have, and therefore the only life that matters. All the evidence shows that the less religious that people are, the more peaceful and enlightened and free and egalitarian the society is. Recognising that we're on our own, and that we're all basically the same, and that the future is entirely in our hands, I think we would all be that much more considerate to each other.

Hey Icarus, great doggie! You know that the so called religious people of the earth will never come out of their closets because they are too frightened by the idea of dying and just "stopping" existing. I'm not, it is whatever it is. I've had lots of surgery; you just go to sleep. Too, I have witnessed close up so much abuse, hypocrisy, etc on the part of churches, ministers and priests that at this point in my long life I want nothing to do with ANY of it. When it comes to religion, politics, and sex, most people are completely ape s--- ( American slang term meaning nuts) on the subjects and can't be reasoned with. So why try? "A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still." However, if there was to be a Coming Out Day parade for ex believers, I would lead the march!

You must be a misable person here on earth, if only in this life we have hope. You can plan all you want, But everything you just said will backfire on you soon, to a place where you will even cry for the rocks & mountains to fall on you to hide yourselve from the presence of God.

in simple terms as in different philosophies, there are categories of nudists and assorted sects of the a number of types. i'm specific there is not any settlement on grouping and naming yet right here is my take. type a million, oftentimes referred to as naturists those nudists have self assurance that unclothed bodies are "organic" and going approximately nude helps them sense closer to the organic earth. Naturalists oftentimes prepare nudism as households. type 2, freedom varieties those nudists have self assurance that outfits could be confining and that it quite is not sensible. To them outfits could be a constraining pointless custom. They be at liberty and easy-weight unclothed. type 3, exhibitionists and stylers those nudists are oftentimes chanced on on nude seashores or flashing the gang. those are streakers and nude bicyclists and human beings showing off. those nudists want an purpose industry.

kinda like that national coming out day? its a good idea. i was born into a christian family, and i was a christian for 15 years of my life. but now im an atheist. when i was converting i was scared about how my family would react. but i thought i as going overboard and i let them know on thanksgiving, when i wouldnt say grace. unfortunately, those overboard reactions happened :P
