Harden the gum by rubbing it with a cube of ice.
Scrape off what you can with a dull-bladed butter knife.
Rub the area with a pre-treatment enzyme product or liquid laundry detergent.
Launder as usual.

No, just stick it in the freezer. I've done this with denim and it really works. Be sure to put a stain treatment on the jeans after the gum comes off and before you wash.

heres what to do:
-if you dont wanna wait a long time for the gum to freeze in the freezer, then put an ice cube in a little plastic bag, rub it against the gum then scrape it off with a dull knife or something like that.

I wouldn't stick them in the freezer I would just get a piece of ice and stick on the gum and freeze the gum not the whole pair of pants

De-solv-it or Goo Gone with a little rubbing will break down the gum so it can washed out. Almost anything oil based will work - peanut butter is great for getting gum out of hair.

my little one did the same, seriously all I did was boil the kettle & pour the boiled water over the gum, it came right off. If you dont want to use boiling water, just do as you said & pop them in the freezer, no need for a bag or anything. Maybe just put them in a container so that they dont stick to the freezer!!

Put the pants in the freezer. The gum will freeze and it'll be easier to remove.

Believe it or not freezing the pants did nothing for me you are simply freezing the gum into the fabric of the jeans try using sellotape which worked wonders for me

I don't think they need to go into a bag (unless they are dirty and there is a risk of contaminating food or something). You could also apply ice to the gun instead.
