Let's just imagine you're wrong in your beliefs.
Let's say Islam was right and you find this out on the Day of Judgement, what will you do? How will you try to compensate for your lack of beliefs?
Let's say Christianity was right and you find this out on the Day of Judgement, what will you do?
Let's say Atheism was right and you find this out somehow, what will you do?

Look, i'm not being a smart aleck or ignorant.

Just what if you're wrong?

True enough.
There is no wrong answer when it comes to God.

But how will you feel as a Christian or a Jew if you find out that Islam is actually a good religion and we were "right" in a sense? How will you compensate for treating the Muslims like crap in the world?

This is a serious question.

Do any of you ever think about how much pain and suffering you inflict upon others?
I mean, why do you do that?

If there is no "wrong" answer when it comes to God, why are Muslims berated and ridiculed? Why are Hindus frowned upon? Why are Sikhs laughed at? Why are Jews tormented? Why are Christians bothered?

Honestly... WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD?

Where the hell is the compassion?

I'm pretty sure ALL religions teach compassion.

I am a Christian. You ask, what if after I die I find out that everything I believed in was wrong?

1) What IF atheism was right after all? THEN, after I die, I would ciease to exist and that will be the end of that.

2) What IF Islam was right after all? THEN, after I die, I would come before Allah who see that although I did not know much about Mohammad, I did know about the other premier prophets (Moses, Jesus, the apostles) and did my darnest to obey them and follow their example. I will not probably make the highest tier in heaven, but since Islam is a legalistic religion, I will not be condemend for what I did not know, but be rewarded for what I did know and obeyed. So, I'll probably end up as one of the gardeners in Paradise, but I will be in Paradise!

3) What IF Buddhism was right after all? Then by the laws of Karma, becuase as a Christian I tried with all my heart to live a moral, ethical life, I will not be reborn (reincarnated) as some vile crawling creature! While I certainly wont be a Bodhisatva, I will at least ne reincarnated as a human being again!

4) BUT what if Christianity is right after all and all the others wrong? THEN, I have the righteousness of Jesus Christ my savior clothing me when I face my Judge. I will recieve all God's promises to His people: forgiveness, resurrection, eternal life.

As I see it my freind, as a Christian, I JUST CAN"T LOSE!

I delight in your question and comprehend that those "obnoxious Christians" make the Christan community as an entire look undesirable. definitely, those "obnoxious Christians" actual be bothered by the satisfaction of "self-righteousness. a real CHRISTIAN could extremely like the soul as a human and make the attempt to show out to that distinctive soul why their habit or way(s) opposes the be attentive to God. it extremely is a certainty that it extremely is impossible to get all the international's inhabitants (say 6 billion) to agree on the comparable element for any project. the super variety in ideals, adventure, preparation, upbringing, existence-sort and a great sort of alternative factors impasse this rely into the chaos that's a important area of our on a daily basis lives. related to your assertion "additionally, a pair of one/3 of the international's inhabitants is Christian. check out any solid source. this potential, shockingly, the different 4 billion persons at the instant are not"... I do discover this to line up in contract with the bible (a solid source) scripture cutting-edge in MATTHEW 7:13-14 13 enter ye in on the strait gate: for extensive is the gate, and huge is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and a great sort of THERE BE WHICH bypass in thereat: [Hell] 14 by way of fact strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto existence, and FEW THERE BE THAT discover IT. [Heaven] that's infrequently a twist of fate... and have faith that the real question is "WHAT in case you're incorrect?"

I like this question.

We all behave like Richard Nixon ("Those of you who think you know everything annoy those of us who do") when it comes to religion.

I think it is rooted in the denial of humanity of non-believers inherent in the Abrahamic faiths. All three religions see the earth as simply a playground for the faithful, to be used as pleasure dictates. All three also see non-believers and other undesirables (gays, the poor, minorities) as subhuman and worthy of pity, derision, or at worst, extermination so that they can go to hell more quickly. Christians historically even killed Jewish and Moslem 'deathbed converts' as the request for conversion was a cynical ploy.

I say we're all wrong, even if it's just in the 'spin' applied to the belief, and the execution of the message. We don't know, and we're all wrong, yet we inflict massive injury around the world based on our wrongness.

Go figure.

I'm open to being wrong! In fact, I so hope we are all wrong. And that we all find out what the real truth is. I mean......it would be ridiculous to think we are right. There are so many theories and beliefs that someone has to be wrong. We all create explanations that will suffice in reasoning through that which we don't understand. No one has the answers. We only have the "Hope." Someday......I just feel it........we are all going to realize that we were all wrong..........which in essence......will make us all......Right. (think about it)

Are you asking what if we are wrong and God does not exist, in no matter form you worship Him in? Then I shall have lived a beautiful rich life full of humor and love before I died. Not a bad deal when you think of it :)

I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is.
Also, there is too much proof in the bible. Things that were predicated have already came to pass.

For me it's not a problem because my beliefs are just that-subjective beliefs. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong-I'll live with it. My beliefs are honest, so if some deity wants to punish me for honesty then let him.

Uhhhh.... If atheism is correct, how the heck will you ever find this out. You'll die, and atheists GENERALLY don't believe in an afterlife.
