that will never happen, but for fantasy sakes...hopkins.

hopkins is the smartest, craftiest, slickest boxer, next to james toney (even though he recently retired). he's also too strong for him. look at how he did de lay hoya. it was a close fight, up until hopkins hit de la hoya with a body punch, but during the entire fight, hopkins was never getting fazed, de la hoya was.

it would be the same thing what he would do to mayweather

Hopkins by KO. The how is either left hook to the jaw or a shot to the body. Now for the why.
1. Hopkins is naturally bigger and stronger and almost as fast
2. Hopkins has fought the best of the best and won except for the loss to Roy Jones. Mayweather has beat Gotti and Judda
3. Hopkins is one of the all time greats and his work ethic and training are incredible

Hopkins - W 47 (KO's 31) TF 53 - W pct 87% - KO pct 54% - wins over Trinidad, DE La Hoya, W. Joppy and Tarver - KO'ed by none - #50 ranked fighter - very unorthodox
Titles at 160, 168 and 175
In 2004 voted as #1 ranked pound 4 pound current fighter

F. Mayweather - W 36 (KO's 24) TF 36 - W pct 100% - KO pct 67% - wins over Corrales, Judah, Gatti and S. Mitchell - KO'ed by none
Won 1996 Bronze Olympic medal at Feather wt
Titles at 130, 135, 140 and 147
As of 2004 voted #2 ranked pound 4 pound current fighter

Mayweather is moving up against one of the all-time greats at Middle wt. Mayweather will get KO'ed by Hopkins in rd 9 just like what happened to De La Hoya.

Roy Jones (early) Bernard Hopkins (early) Wladimir Klitschko (he's a 260-pound guy Liddell is 210 what's the point?) James Toney (early toney) Muhammad Ali Mike Tyson Floyd Mayweather Pacquiao (GSP can't take a punch from Shields, do you expect he'll be able to take even one from Pac?) Hagler/Silva very hard to answer because of the size difference I would say Silva If it's a kickboxing match I don't see any way the MMA fighter would win unless there's a big size difference and he's an accomplished striker (Overeem, Silva, Shogun)

Hopkins would win. They fight in two different weight divisions. This would be no contest.
