Does the owner/manager of the park have a financial interest in a kerosene business? Oil heat is inexpensive and safe. Kerosene is a product further refined from oil (gasoline is it's byproduct) and will therefore be more expensive. Oil doesn't have any toxic or flamable fumes with which to deal... and yes, kerosene does have an oder. Gelling up in colder weather isn't an issue (unless you're talking diesel engines). Either the park manager is missinformed or trying to pull a fast one on you. Stay warm.
