She can try doing eye exercises to improve her vision. I recently started doing eye exercises to try to improve my vision. I created a blog where I record my progress with the exercises.
I haven't seen any improvement as yet, but other people (who have experienced improvements) also post comments about their experiences as well. You can check it out at: http://improvingmyeyesight.com/blog

Unfortunately you're in the same situation as me.... And there is nothing to do about it....Just keep calm.. Nobody really knows why the myopia appears, so nobody knows a way to stop it... Even after a laser surgery the myopia is still there. Many people say that carrots, bilberries and other vegetables rich in vitamin A can help, but that doesn't work for the myopia. And no, in these conditions you can't restore your vision with glasses. They help you only to see what's around you. And you can have a laser surgery only if your cornea is not too thin, so keep on seeing your ophthalmologist. He is the one who should give you a better advice.

yes she can regain a better eyesight if she were to a take a LASEK operation. Better consult an ophthalmologist first and see whether your friend has the minimum corneal thickness for a LASEK surgery (surgery with a laser probe) for correcting the eye sight. its quite efficient and cost effective also. hope it benefits your friend.

Ask your friend to stand in front of you. show four fingers of your hand and ask him how many. If he says 'one' instead of four please ask him to consult an eye specialist. Make sure you go with him to the specialist's clinic or he might go elsewhere.
