What would be the end result of anarchy in Iraq? Would that situation ultimately be worse for the U.S. or better? Why?

In the long run, we don’t matter to Iraq. Everyone with any knowledge of the region knew that things would play out exactly as they have – and it would not have made any difference if we had invaded with 400,000 soldiers – the Bush implemented neocons plan was a stupid idea doomed to failure. Bush(1) knew it, Clinton knew it, and Colin Powell knew it (that is what he meant by the Pottery Barn analogy.

The only thing we did was to get rid of Saddam, and that would have eventually happened anyway – through either natural or assisted means. The only difference is, that in prematurely removing Hussein from office we have weakened ourselves in real and political terms and have aided the cause of our enemy. And, of course, from now on, the whole world will blame us for every single thing that goes wrong in the region.

The same thing that happens in any other oil rich Islamic nation not propped up by the west, a period of violence followed by the establishment of a Theocratic Dictatorship. In the long run the final result of our war in Iraq will probably be an anti-American Iraq allied with an anti-American Iran. Bush (41), Clinton, and Powell all knew this, our boy G.W. ignored them all and we are looking at the result. If there is any way to achieve some other outcome, I've not heard it.

The country will erupt into a civil war. Shias will kill Sunnis and Kurds will kill either one. Iran will encroach upon the government which is dictated by the Shias and we will have another Iranian state on our hands. The answer is no we shouldn't pull out not until the government truely has control. Its sad but we will be in Iraq for sometime and pulling out is not the answer. The Dems are into an exit strategy well the first idea is pull out of Bosnia, we have been there for more than 10 years. Worry about Afghanistan and then Iraq later.I think its funny they keep mentioning exit strategies but don't offer one up. War is not easy where you can just take your ball and go home. I do want to point out once again that Bush did not take us to WAR but Congress, Dems and Repubs, voted to take the country to war.

Bush should make peace with Iran and Korea first. This would allow
him to pull out of Irag and have some agreements with Irag and Iran
on future oil deals. If he pulls out without making peace with these countries and not pulling back Zionist in attacking Palestinian then a pull would look like a lose for america. It would be better to lose then to fight a unjust war. But I do not like Bush and Cheney I feel the are dispicable. But for our country Bush should do a saturday night firing of Rumsfield, Cheney, Rice and Gonzales. Say he realized he has now gotten bad advice, make peace in the region become a hero. Beleive me I would not
want Bush as a hero but to save our country from distruction, let
it be!

we have to stay the coarse until they get balls enough to take control of there country.. if we pull out it there will be civil war.. the terrorist will take over and another Saddam will appear..these people need to follow the kurds lead ,northern iraq is returning to normal but you never hear about it because the liberal media would let you think that iraq is just bahgdad..

If you follow what most of the ex-Generals are saying, we should. Recent report say even the forces we are training want us out and are turning against our boys. Let's at least think about having an exit plan.
