Green is lovely and fine for summer,,,, maybe not anything too pastel. but peridot is really nice. slightly darket than pastel, but not forest-green (too winter-y). i like lime green a lot. peridot, being an august birthstone, is most definitely a summer color. but remember, it's your wedding, so if you like it then it's perfect.
congratulations, by the way!

Peridot sounds absolutely beautiful. And you can choose any number of colors to compliment it, such as cream, white, peach, pink and other shades of green. Don't worry about it being July, the colors YOU like best no matter what time of year is the BEST choice.

I think green would be very nice. With cream you could do almost any gemstone color. I would go with a rich green though, like a jade, so one color is predominant. Myself, if I got married in the summer, I always wanted silver and gold bridesmaid dresses; silver would carry lilacs and gold would carry orange lillies. But green is good too, lol. Good luck.

Don't do red, white, and blue... patriotic yes but too cheesy for a wedding. I like the colors you are thinking of. They sound beautiful and very appropriate for a July wedding. Do what makes you happy!

you like peridot so go with peridot and accent with cream or vice versa...make your fabric choice and style of dresses reflect a romantic feel

I was married this last July and used a shimmery sage green and a champagne colour. It turned out awesome....but then of course every bride think their day was beautiful. It was very summer-like but then again it was outside....if you want you can check out the pics (never mind the hillbillies :-P) they're on my my space in msn. http://bluearia01jennsstuff.spaces.live.com/
