You know thats one thing I dont understand about Christianity and churches today is how much sexual desires and lust is looked upon as a damable sin and how dare anyone to think such things but yet 99.9% of humans do no matter if Christian or nonChristian. I bet no matter how much lust is preached against that 99.9% of the people in the church are thinking and acting upon it including its own leadership. You know if sexual desires is so wrong then why are people including Christians practce it? if it were not for sexual desires and lusts how can humans reproduce? humans are genetically sexual and are programmed for reproducing. So if sexual desires are wrong then so must reproducing. But I also hear churches say that sexual desires are not wrong if done within marriage. But no matter what single or married we are still genetically programed for sex other wise how we will ever reproduce? Lets face the truth we are sexual creatures programmed to reproduce.

I don't now whether you've had sex before or not....
I see your point and I'm also frustrated by the fact that politics and other world matters are brought into the church...
I believe that sex is for the marriage, but even if you already had sex, that God will not damn you for it...As long as your relationship with Him is alright.
Every person has a sexual need and there's lost of ways to fur fill that needs without having sex....

There's nothing you can do about the church, so make sure your relationship With God is rigth and you then don't have to worry about what the church says you doing wrong..Good luck.

That is why it is religiously lawful to marry when your body has "grown up". Religion try to make you a human being and eradicate your animal side.

Have you seen animals having sex? They can have it anywhere anytime. Lust is an animal attribute which of course even a civilised human being has, and it is the function of religion to surpress this part which disturbs your life in many ways.

Have you seen a divorced parent's kids? How unstable they are. And compare them to a good christian family, or muslim or hindu or whatever religion u want and u will see the difference. They have a respect to talk, a manner to behave and well trained mind to keep away from problems which come from temporary pleasures.

I'm myself without religion but I do live according to some principles but I do pay tribute to religions in this matter of discipline someone to have a better and stable life.

One thing people forget to take into account is the fact that in biblical times, people married at age 12. Sex outside of marriage is still "sin" and not "healthy" in every sense of the word, and in my opinion, and JUST MY OPINION, there are still healthier, safer ways to deal with the sexual desires God has given us. Monogomy for example. Having a spirit of lust, is a totally different situation from "normal" sexual desire, and needs to be dealt with. Again this is just my take on the situation. I guess to answer your question, sexual desire is okay, lusting is wrong. Either way it's a good thing we have propitiation for our sins in Jesus isn't it.

Sexual desire and lust for your spouse is normal, preachers who preach against this are idiots and haven't read the bible very well. Single people are to control such desires because it will lead to sex outside of the marriage which is wrong.

I agree. It is human nature to lust.If you are married religion tells you must not lust for other woman. Here is the test. For a few seconds you may desire other woman. Have you a nechanism to correct it? No one is saying you must become a sage or a hermit and stop lusting. If it ever happens can you come out of it?

There is a difference between love and lust.

People get married who are in love, it means more than just sexual desire. They grow together and usually raise a family in the fear of the Lord. Whereas lust is people just satisfy themselves for the moment. More interested in the flesh than anything else, which is carnal.

Lust is not just sex. It is the senses of the body wanting to be
stimulated.
Eating, listening to music so loud it blows ones eardrums out.
Staring at TV for hours on end. Are you following me on this?
Also, we have a spirit within. And it has telepathic and empathic
abilities. We can know anothers thoughts, feel anothers pain.
When you lust on someone sexually, can't you see the
expression on their face change. Even when they can't see
you are looking at them?
This things create DIS/EASE.

Lust is a desire, like hunger and thirst. We, as humans, have it by default. This is how Allah created us for productivity and for the preservation of mankind in addion to enjoyment. It is how you act upon it that could be right or wrong. We all have desires; if we meet them in halal, as Allah taught us (in marriage), then there is nothing wrong. Otherwise, we are sinning.

You have a point, we are all programmed to lust. By making it a sin the church just "guarantees" that we've all sinned and therefore should feel we need 'saved'.

The whole (sexual) lust thing is just another example of religion's main purpose: control of the masses.
