Cows' farting and burping must be brought under control because they're causing global warming problems, a climate change expert has warned. The question is " If you can bottle it, can you rattle it "

Were ever you may be let your wind go free,
If in church or chapel, just let it rattle,
bottle it, sniff it, do as you like,
you may even have enough to fly a kite.

I'm sorry, but I don't really understand your question.
But the truth is, global warming is a myth. The temperature of the atmosphere fluctuates over a wide range, the result of solar activity and other influences. During the past 3,000 years, there have been five extended periods when it was distinctly warmer than today. One of the two coldest periods, known as the Little Ice Age, occurred 300 years ago. Atmospheric temperatures have been rising from that low for the past 300 years, but remain below the 3,000-year average.
The highest temperatures during the last 100 years occurred in 1940. During the past 20 years, atmospheric temperatures have actually tended to go down, based on very reliable satellite data, which have been confirmed by measurements from weather balloons.
My question is, who is the poor shmuck who has the job of measuring cow farts?

Rotting vegitation, gas seeping out of the earth under the oceans , at vocanos and other fissures, and other people and animals farting also produce methane gasses. Why pick on cows. Lets all make better use of solar energy if you think this is such a problem.

my missus is always burping and farting and shes a right cow. This one day I did try bottling her escaping wind but did not reach anywhere near 400 litres, therefore I must discount this statement.

There will be less of it in the US because our farmers will decide it's not worth it to have cattle. However, there will be an increase in neighboring countries from whom we will import beef from. Basically, we will have the same amount of methane in the air but there will be more jobs in neighboring countries. Tax money doesn't have to be used to solve the problems that it is supposed to. For example, the cigarette tax. The reason that we tax cigarettes so much is due to the health costs of smokers. But does the tax money go to pay for health care for smokers? No. There is not ONE program (federal or state) that is set up to pay for the health care of smokers using tobacco taxes.
