Okay..I really like this guy. I've known him for about a year now and we've been pretty good friends. Lately we've been talking a lot more and we have a lot in common and I want to spend a little more time with him. You know just hang out and do nothing. But I don't know how to ask him that without telling him I like him. I think he might like me as well but I don't know for sure. Homecoming is coming up too and I hope he asks me to go with him. But I don't know. Since we talk a lot is there a way that I could like casually bring it up and like hint to him that I want him to ask me without being obvious? Like I said before I need some help.

i don't know what are the common things you mentioned but here are my suggestion :

if its movies, then hinted that you wanted to watch that particular movie but need some one to come along, asks him would he like to join you for that !

if he play tennis, then learn something about it[ the score for example ] and volunteer to be his training partner at anytime convenient to him. if you are the one loved tennis then get him to trains with you !

if you know any of his favorites food, invite him over to your house and tell him you have prepared that n wishes him to try out or be your 'judge' on your cooking skills !

or organize some group activities that get him involve right from the beginning til the end, hence you both would have lots of time to be closed together in preparation, purchasing of items, discussion on venue/time/date etc, not just being present at that function only !

and the lists go on n on !

Good luck n have fun ! cheer !

If u have a lot in common and you talk alot , why don't you have conversations that involve talking about doing things that you have in common. A simple question like "what are you doing saturday afternoon ?" can open up all sorts of discussions. How about group events , get a group to go to a movie and invite him.
