Does this prove anything? Natural disasters have been around since the beginning of time. Nearly two hundred years ago, and earthquake hit the central United States with such a force that the MIssissippi River ran backwards (the Great New Madrid Quake...look it up). And what of Vesuvius destroying Pompeii and Herculaneum centuries ago. What about the fact that, one year after the great hurricane season of 2005 that there hasn't been a significant storm to approach the United States? As far as there being more earthquakes, I'm certain you can go back through time and find relative periods of calm interspersed with periods of increased seismic activity. My question for you is, Does your life stink so bad that you sit around quietly hoping for the world to end? And do you hope for this end so badly that you take to interpreting events that have been happening in nature for eons as signs that God is intensely pissed off at us?

Wow, looks like the Zoroastrian predictions about a violent earth in end times are true! Holy Cow! I better bow down and believe in Ahura Mazda, afterall, that word came LONG before Jesus!

Or wait, the Mayan calendar ends then! OMG!

Eh, better to just live in the moment and enjoy the life I have regardless of when the world will end.

I don't believe that end of times garbage. We have something called global warming making climatic changes and that is causing the increase in natural phenomena that is being seen. End of times preachers, like my own uncle, just sit there counting everything as part of their doom and gloom rejoicing for a time in which they think they will be better off. I think it pretty pathetic really.

As far as having Jesus in my life.. he was a human historical figure so no I don't. I don't believe him divine.

If you compare global graphs, such as killer quakes vs world population, you might notice both global graphs did "shoot forth" in June 1967, as if both began sprinting to the end of the human race having one winner take all.

Yet what's also noticeable, when comparing such global graphs as if death vs life, it's evident from the evidence life is winning the race. In spite of more killer quakes, less ppl are dying, and in spite of the money the world bank threw at hindering world poplulation, it much more abounds.

Possible biblical conclusion is: where sin(law) abounds, grace much more abounds. Grace is always much more than law, to the point the Bible ends with no mention of law, only of grace.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Go away. Natural disasters increase and decrease in frequency through time as they always have done-the natural causes and effects are well known. It has nothing to do with some trashy scripture written 2000 years ago.
