Depends what kind of art you like. Everyone who gives a hoot about museums AT ALL in nyc must must must go to the metropolitan museum of art, so that's the first one, second one.... your choice. how about madame trousseau's wax museum, or american museum of natural history, or National Academy Museum and School of Fine Arts

There are MANY world class museums. Hard to pick just two.

Nothing can beat going to; MoMa, The Musuem of Modern Art and also the American Museum of Natural History.
Unfortunately niether are free, MoMa is expensive but you can give a small donation to the American Museum of Natural History, you will see a sign above the cash desk in the museum, telling you that $15 is entry but in the small print this is suggested, so which means you can pay less!!

There are 3 truly solid museums of that high quality. Chicago: field's Museum ny: Museum of organic historic previous Washington DC: Smithsonian they are all solid. My personal determination replaced into the Smithsonian in Washington DC. international type each and every of ways. now to not indicate that there is a lot to work out in that city.

Try the Hayden Planetarium, great light show. Also the Museum of Natural History, awesome place!!!!! Have a great time!!!

metropolitan museum of art and the museum of natural history. if you are concerned with paying then i suggest you avoid going anywhere. anything worth seeing is worth paying for, do you think they keep these places open for free, its quite costly running and maintaining museums.
