Prostitution, one of the oldest professions. It seems that it will never go away. So why not legalize it and regualate it? It probably won't affect rape and sex offender cases. However, legalizing it like in Amsterdam for instance, would help with fighting the AIDS epedimic, and bring in some tax revenue. But it is a moral issue. And I understand why many wouldn't support doing such a thing.

Yes, because adults have the right to make bad choices. It is not the business of the state what passes between two adults. Unless it hurts others that is. It seems to me that this is just another way that governments have of criminalising the poor. There would be benefits for all of us if we lived in a society that was more sexually tolerant.

People who frequent prostitutes are looking for sex. Rape, on the other hand, has nothing to do with sexual gratification. Rape is not a crime of passion, it's a crime of violence, and it's motives are usually pathological (unlike a normal sex-drive).

No, I enjoy my trips to ASIA, and Central America... I love the fact that Americans can't enjoy the sex that a prostitute can offer.... Way to many fools in America!

Huh?
Prostitution is perfectly legal in many states. It's public SOLICITATION for prostitution which is illegal.

Yes. It's not for me but it would stop other types of crime. regulate and tax it. It seems to work in parts of Europe.
