Get yourself a humidifier. Moist air is better for you. My experience is that the over the counter stuff dries up a sinus cold, but gives me the mother of all headaches. Also warm compresses using a wet washcloth to your sinuses will help. You have my sympathy.

If the drainage is yellow, you need an antibiotic. Put salt in a cup of warm water, lean over and sniff it up your nose and let it run down your sinus, then when it gets to the back of your throat, then spit it out. Do this over and over, and it will certainly make it better. This is an old farm remedy, that my dad did when he got sinus infections.

yes as shardf said , salt and water was a miracle to me / but some times u must take strong antibiotics .

pee in a cup, add salt, pepper and a squirt of lemon juice. drink this 3 times a day
