I know it's very rare for tattoos to be removed on the NHS, but it does very occassionally happen for whatever reasons. I am doing a project and need to find some people who have had a tattoo removed. PLEASE HELP.

An ex of mine wanted his tattoo removed as it had his ex-wife's name on it. He went through the process and was told that he could not have the whole tattoo removed but they did take off his ex-wife's name.
Yug...his facts are not wrong, a few years back anyone who wanted a tattoo removed would probably have got it done with minimum fuss. But with other priorities for the cash the tattoo removal has been scaled down to a very basic level, and rightly so.

Tattoo removal on the NHS is rare but it does happen in certain circumstances. You best bet is to request from the NHS the number of procedure carried out every year under the freedom of information act.

Only one person i know that had it done and that was 15 years ago with laser treatments. Basically he had love and hate on his knuckles, done when he was a teenager and a bit of the rails. He argued for the removal for emotional reasons. he had grown up a lot since originaly getting those tattoos done. end result was the faded quite a bit but not completely.
you dont say what or where your tattoo is. i know someone elese who grew to hate a tattoo on their shoulder. they got it blacked out and covered with a larger tattoo though.
good luck

I hope your facts are wrong that the NHS have removed tattoos from anyone at any time , I would feel livid in-as-much if they are foolish to have them done in the first place and they feel embarrassed with them now, its their own responsibility to arrange for them to be removed (by laser I believe )at their own expense>>The NHS have more important things to attend to

I wish we could select best answer 15 minutes after posting. I generally select one after the 4 hour limit, but that's not usually fast enough. naw, you're not an @sshole. when you give me a best answer, I know you still love me.
