"Cutting the pie" as American SWAT units call it, is not advisable using a bullpup when turning a corner towards your strong side, since a large part of the body will potentially be exposed to enemy fire. Normally, users of conventionally-arranged rifles such as the AR15 family transition the weapon to the weak shoulder in order to do this, but shoulder transitioning during combat isn't possible with bullpups because the ejection port would be oriented towards the user's face.

I have heard of a technique whereby the bullpup user can twist his/her body in order to expose less body area to enemy fire while turning a corner towards the strong side, while still maintaining a good sight picture. I am, however, unfamiliar with the specific details of this technique. How exactly is the body twisted, and how is the sight picture preserved?

If anyone knows of any other techniques for rounding strong-side corners using bullupup rifles, I am very interested to hear about them.

Have you heard of covering fire, have you heard of fire suppression.
to go around any corner in an urban conflict is difficult
, to lay down rounds whilst doing so is foolish to say the least. every time you depress that trigger you as a soldier need to know where the round will go automatic fire is not advisable unless you are under fire then you would not go into enemy fire unless you had cover suppressing their fire would you. and regardless of what weapon you care to use , if you were under fire the least of your problem is ejection of cases.left and right handed techniques for covering the ejection are taught at basic training, after 22 years i am still ambidextrous when someone is shooting at me. regards FL
