It is a most exciting country, lush and vibrant, with so much fascinating wild life. We had a great time canoeing on the Belize river and camping overnight, visiting ancient Mayan sites and revelling in the beauty all around us. It is full of surprises, one of which was the presence of an Amish community outside Belize city. It also has some great beaches, with good snorkelling. Whatever you enjoy on holiday, I reckon that Belize can provide it. Have a great trip!

Okay, that's a bit confusing! Are you taking your girlfriend and meeting your family who will also traveling to Belize? Or are you taking you girlfriend to meet your family who LIVES in Belize? Because if it's the latter, I'm thinking the girlfriend should skip the trip and find a new boyfriend! DOH!

Belize is an amazing place, you will be going there during rainy season, or jsut as it starts. If you are going to Belize, ensure you go snorkling or diving when you are there.
The only downside of the country is that there is corruption and they are destroying their forests to supply peoples need for garden furniture.

I attended a wedding in Belize. It's very pretty, good wildlife/rainforests. But what I can't forget are the bugs! Dont forget to bring a mosquito repellent!
