A couple of things: I am loving each an every answer, but guys let's keep it clean. Regarding My avatar, Thanks. Regarding Terrorism, nope nope we do not do that. Regarding bowing to a stone, Get real, we where praying towards Jerusalem till our prophet received a command from God to pra towards mecca (Where Haciti Abraham and Haciti Adam R.A) Prayed towards). Regarding the Turkish people I LOVE THEM!!!! They are like regular americans so I blend well with their culture and they really treated me well the times I have visited their country, I recommend everyone visits!!!!

So you will report anyone who doesn't answer yes or no. Are you afraid of the criticism which may come from someones answer. Is your faith so flawed that it is incapable of standing in the light for all to see. Most of the world already knew of the major flaws and crimes of Christianity and Judaism, and they are numerous and heinous. So now Islam is being exposed to the world at large and you want no criticism? Which means you either are very weak in your faith or you fear the facts. YES I knew very well of Islam before 3000 innocent souls were brutally butchered on 9/11 and held as dim a view of it as I hold for the other two religions mentioned. History clearly shows that all of these religions have done much more harm to this world than they have ever done good,I base this on facts not prejudice,I embrace no myth culture. They are all a bane on the existence of mankind, a pox which poisons the world. If you feel differently I feel nothing but pity for you, because beliefs like yours and the things men will do to defend those beliefs will be the eventual undoing of all mankind. I may get angry at times and say things I wish I had not said but this is not one of those times, the religious teachings of Christians,Jews and Muslims will be what finally destroys us,and millions of innocent souls will die because these religious zealots could not accept that not everyone believes as they do and simply let the worlds other few billion people live in peace. Have a nice day.

Yes. They have been commiting acts of terrorism all of my 39 years. Quite frequently in the news all of my life. Sorry if this offends its not meant to. Its really how i found out about them. Growing up in a small small town there was no way of finding out about the outside world except for the news. Bombings, highjackings, murders, hatered against "me". It was scarey. I watched their protests, saw them burning american flags. My english teacher in high school was Iranian. Came to the US in the early 70's. He told us horror stories of that culture as well. Im glad I live here in the US. There were no muslims in my home town. I never met any until I moved away. Just like anyone else some were nice, some were not. Do you think its the ones that are fanatical about their religion that commit the violent acts?

Let's see. We invaded Iraq in 1991, which would have been prior to 2001. Iraq is inhabited by Muslims, a fact that was probably mentioned in news stories about that skirmish. So yeah, I'd heard of Muslims before 2001.

Yes. Between 1975 and 1976 I served in the US Army in Turkey and had daily contact with Muslims. I respected them and they respected me. I had no problems in getting along. To this day I still hold a high degree of respect for the Turkish Army.

I first read the Quran in 1990. And I often quote it to others. My
favorite surah is the one that talks about how people complain
about God/Allah, and say if He's so powerful. Why doesn't he
fix everything?
"But if Allah did send an angel. He would fix it RIGHT! And there
would be no more respite. No more chances."
And there would be a whole lot of sorry souls looking at the
Fires of Hell. So we should be glad He is forgiving and
long-suffering. And we have another day, and another
opportunity, to get it right.
SALAAM

yes i did. back in the 70's (i was in high school) i had several friends that were muslim. i was open about my friendship and did not care (then nor now) what others said of my affiliations. think it was tough now, the 70's were not much better.
i wish the world would stop judging others on things that really do not matter - age, sex, race, religion/belief system, clothes, housing, cars, etc. why can't we all just let go of the pains that shadow us all and live happy as one positive flow of consciousness? it is what is inside of us that really matters and nothing else.

Yes I did. I went to college with Muslims from Asia. The Muslims I have known have always been nice pleasant people. I even dated a few when I was single.

Islamic civilization is based on the freedom that God gave mankind where Moslems 1400 years ago were able to think freely about every issue that relate to human life.1400 years ago the world was living
in darkness. 1400 years ago, there were Islamic universities where most scientific subject was taught.
