Get out and do some things that are of interest to you. Join some interest groups: ie., reading, cycling, blading, computers, gyms, pottery, art, music, poetry, writing, sky diving... whatever your heart desires.
Just like Eric said. Adult classes. What are your interests? What would you like to learn? Just take some interest classes.
Do all this, not as a means of "finding someone" but to arouse your own interests. You will not only have fun doing this, but you'll also stimulate your mind; improve your own well-being, broaden your horizons, and find that you yourself has become more interesting. When you least expect it, you will meet someone who has similar interests as yourself.

Tryt church, maybe some online chat channels, look for activities in your area that single males might go..
