I've heard that clear spirits like vodka or gin are less likely to cause a hangover. Something about the impurities that color liquor being one of the causes of headaches. Believe it or not, I've never had a bad hangover. I've gotten so ripped that I actually fell off the floor (I was sitting on it at the time) and the only effect the following morning was a little nausea. Never had a headache from drinking, don't know why, don't care as long as I never get one. My wife said that the headache is caused by a pain in the brain itself and that I shouldn't have to worry about that at all.

Ok, first of all, anything more than 5 drinks in one episode is classified as binge drinking and is dangerous, second, please make sure you have a sober designated driver. The only real way to avoid a hangover is by not drinking too much. It is also quite possible to have a great time sober. Alcohol poisoning is not the only risk. The amount of alcohol it takes to have alcohol poisoning can vary, widely from person to person. In addition to the risk of alcohol poisoning, I lost a former boyfriend who fell deeply asleep after drinking too much, the alcohol caused him to vomit in his sleep and he choked to death on his own vomit. There is nothing wrong with having a few drinks but just observe how you feel. If you drink just stop at the point where you feel a little relaxed. What is fun about drinking until you lost control or your small motor function, and your dignity, or worse to the point of feeling sick or hung over or worse yet, die. Drunkenness is not attractive, it is really rather stupid looking when people are sloppy drunk anyway. If you start to feel sloppy, just stop drinking. If people try to encourage you to keep drinking beyond your comfort zone or to get in a car with a driver who is not sober, they are not your friend. Good luck to you and congratulations on graduating. I wish you a safe week of fun and celebration.

The best thing to drink is pure spirits. Sugary mixers are what cause the hangover. A couple of aspirin and a huge glass of water before bed help to.

Pure spirits like Vodka, gin, tequilla, whiskey are better to consume than sugary distilled drinks.... ie: schnapps, Jagermeister, RumpleMinz Also drinking a higher quality liquor will aide in lessening the hungover feeling. I find that drinking a high quality vodka, while more expensive is TOTALLY WORTH the added expense the next morning!! Beer is sometimes easier to deal with the next day. Finally, water, gatorade and gingerale are all good things to drink if you do feel a little rough the next day. Hope this helps and Cheers!!!

Lots of water. Alcohol dehydrates you, which causes headaches/hangovers. Drink water in between drinking alcohol, then drink some more before sleeping.
When I drink too much, antacid also helps to keep my stomach stable.

What's always worked for me was to wait an hour or so after drinking and take an aspirin and drink a glass of milk. Always was fine the next morning!

I assume you're asking AFTER you've had a lot of alcoholic drinks? Honestly I don't think you can do much but try vegetable juice like V8 which helps to supplement the necessary nutrients
