Actually, there are three main translations of the Qu'ran to English - Yusufali, Picthal and Shakir, which differ slightly in wording. Does this mean that there is more than one type of Qu'ran, just as there are NIV and King James versions of the Bible? All this means is that some people like to state the same thing in slightly different ways - not that they are different books entirely.

I am so tired of this continual bickering between Jews, Christians and Muslims about who is 'right' when it comes to religion. Why can't we accept that God/Allah/Jehova has been trying to teach us over time - giving us time to absorb one part of the message before trying to teach us the next lesson. When we learn math, do we start with linear algebra and calculus, or do we start by learning to count and then add, subtract, multiply and divide, and them move to basic algebra?

Imagine what the world would be like if we could put aside these petty disagreements and work together as God wants us to do!

Muslims cannot "prove" to Christians, familiar with their faith, that the Quran is "true". The "revelations" in the Quran about Jesus Christ came from a spirit, not eyewitness testimony, a full 600 years after the ministry and sacrifice of our Lord.

The Quran would have to come up with more than the word of one "angel of light" to disprove the message of the Apostles, protected and passed down with the utmost care, held by the Church. To disprove an eyewitness, more than that, hundreds of eyewitnesses (Jesus revealed Himself alive after His crucifixion to more than 500 people), would require at least one human eyewitness. The Quran provides NONE. Angels don't count! The witness(es) in question would have to be human.

Jesus claimed to be the Christ of God, One with the Father, the One who was sent from Heaven, the Messiah, the Light of the World. Those are not statements one "mistakes" or "mishears" or "misunderstands". Either Jesus said those things, or He did not. Eyewitnesses claim He did. Saying those things, they are either TRUE, or they are not. If they are true, they are true. If they are NOT TRUE, and Jesus DID do the miraculous signs accredited to Him, then it is FAR WORSE than a misunderstanding to call Him the Christ. He would not even be a prophet. He would be the satan incarnate--claiming to be God, but being a liar.

There is NO misunderstanding about Jesus. If He is not God, then He is not a prophet. He can only be a demon.

You would have to come up with an eyewitness to prove that.

Although Muslims say they respect Jesus as a "great prophet of God", they completely ignore what he taught. And the only historical way we know what he taught is what is written in the New Testament writings (Gospels). And if we read the Gospels, you see that he was quite a "different kind of prophet"... in that he wasn't just speaking the words of God... He made self-claims to BE GOD, to be beyond any prophet that has ever come before him. As such, I find the comment "we respect Jesus to be a prophet of God" to be quite ignorant of what Jesus taught or who he claimed to be. No true prophet would continuously commit blasphemy, as Jesus was often accused by his Jewish contemporaries.

Of course, it's not blasphemy if it was true... "Before Abraham, I am" (says Jesus, John 8:58). The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us...(John 1). But the darkness did not recognize him...

all caps, pissed off are you?

We have one Bible different translations. Not everyone can speak greek, hebrew etc... it's the same message.

Be happy for yourself, glad you found your way in this messed up world, if everyone agreed we'd all be robots and puppets.

Go to where Jesus was buried, it's empty, HE"S ALIVE!
The Bible is the ONLY HOLY BOOK that prophicies are coming to pass and are true.

We serve a living savior, not a dead one.

Muslims are to follow everyone whom claims to be a prophet? Is that right?
Jesus said: Beware of false prophets who dress up in sheeps clothing and inwardly are raving wolves.

So you'll take the bad with the good?

nothing in quran has been proven wrong by christians. they just tend to get out of context and put some verses and try to prove them wrong, but the bible is full of things which people over time has changed to suit their greeds.
todays bible is not what was revealed on jesus and muslims should not accept todays bible. quran is no doubt word of god in its original form.

the essence of religion is faith, belief in the unseen, the bible quran etc are just pillars, the foundation is faith so if your faith is strong in what u believe, trivial issues such as that one wouldnt bother you, at all!
