In the old age during WW II people washed their hair in water with lemon. The water is almost free and the lemon peel you can spare for something else.

Keep your hair free from dust.
Use your hand as comb.
wash with river water.
Use lime or lemon juice as conditioner (ask from your friend cos u don wana buy)
