This tactic is not specific to any particular group.

This is what I call survival of the rudest.

They know they're wrong, they need to be right, sometimes that can only be done by making the other person feel wrong whether they are or not..

If you were in actual conversation, they'd probably be having a screaming hissy fit.

Ignore it as you would a toddler's tantrum.

The reason for them to resort to insults is that they have a low I.Q and cannot think of anything substantial to prove there argument, hence it is only the looser in the argument who diverts from the real issue and takes help of such practices

although i do not agree with her language but will tell you Let Go of it. Forgive and Forget and keep moving on with your life. these are trivial matters -- there are a FEW people who are disrespectful here about others.

i got harrased yesterday by a person who complained about some muslim saying something on YA! and he was asking everyone to spam her. but when i told him that everyone does that and esp towards muslims, this person got so flared up and he kept harrassing me. and he falsely accused me and bad-mouthed me.

oh its so-common here. i just forget and walk off.
