What about nuclear weapons? We are not the only nation to have nuclear weapons. Russia, Britian, China, France, Pakistan, India all have nukes.
Nuclear capable states include: Canada and Germany.
Those countries that have verifiable nuclear warheads include:
The US has 9,960 nuclear war heads since 1945,
Russia has 16,000 beginning in 1949,
Britian is less than 200 beginning in 1952,
France has 350 staring in 1960,
China 130 beginning in 1964,
India has 75-115 starting in 1974,
Pakistan 65-90 starting in 1998,
and North Korea 0-10 starting 2006.
Israel is suspected of having over 200.
So here again, the US is not even the top dog here (from Wikipedia).

Japan, Pakistan, France, India, Germany, Great Britain, Russia, United States, China, and probably Israel. Of these countries, only United States, Russia, France, Germany, and Great Britain officially have the capability of producing a nuclear warhead. The other countries have nuclear capability , but have not weaponized it or have dismantled their nuclear stock piles.

1 - USA
2 - Russia
3 - France
4 - UK
They have all signed the Nuclear Non Proliferation treaty.
5 - India
6 - Pakistan
7 - China
8 - North Korea
9 - Israel (or USA)
These haven't signed any treaty.
A good point to make is that, although they have nuclear CAPABILITIES, you still need a good delivery system, and it's believed that - appart from China and Israel - these countries do not have the resources to deliver nuclear warheads effectively.

On top of the already detailed answers, after the break up of Soviet Union, Kazakhstan and Ukraine found themselves with nuclear weapons on their soil and certainly Ukraine toyed with the idea of keeping them. Though due to financial and international pressures, both countries bowed to international pressure and those nuclear weapons were scrapped.
