Hi Mark...your kitty is a polydactyl cat. Known affectionately as kittens with mittens and descendents of Ernest Hemingway's cats... and these kitties are quite common.

Here's a few websites on these kitties:

Hello M
it don't mean a thing, your little kitten just has 1 to many toes. Don't worry about it and congrats to the mother well done

It means she's special and if she has 6-toed kittens in turn, her kittens will be much-sought-after by people who want special kitties. I heard the Hemingway (the author) family has kept generation after generation of 6-toed cats on their property. These cats are treated like royalty; so there!

She is a feline polydigitullas and a good luck charm
Very cute and never ever to be declawed or have any toes removed or the luck will go with them

Its a condition as has already been descibed above. dont worry about it though, shouldnt cause any problems for the cat.

I hear that all of Hemmingways cats at Florida keys have six toes!

It means nothing except that it is a term known as polydactic. Cat is normal and will cope normally

It is just an inherited variant. There is nothing wrong with the kitten. I think they are special. I would definitely keep that one!

Its not uncommon and it can happen! So dont worry about it! Sound like a few people think its cool! So maybe you could use that to your advantage!
