Why do we keep them from such bad influences as pornography, video games and sniffing glue BUT allow them to be exposed to critical thought-destroying religions such as Christianity and Islam?

Religion is a mental condition, much like obsessive compulsive disorder. The only place that has it right is France, where all this mumbo jumbo religion stuff is kept out of peoples everyday lifes.

Religion = Superstition

Because pornography, video games and sniffing glue leads kids to grow up to be serial killers, theives, rapists and other social deviants. Religion will save everyone from having to think for themselves, just like you said. I got out of organized religion back in 4th grade. My parents let me think for myself and answered almost any question I put to them, no matter how complicated or over my head the answer might be.

To not believe in something and know very little about it because you actively seek to avoid anything that would grow your knowledge about religions is called ignorance. Know why you believe what you believe and what you don't believe if you are going to preach against it.
