Can you give a dog normal vitamin & mineral tablets/capsules?
Eg: Fish Oil capsules or Multi-Vitamin tablets.
Would these (or any other) capsules/tablets that humans can take daily be harmful to dogs?
Or would they just be benefitial as they would to a human?

Also:
What would be best to give dogs for a healthy fur & skin?

You can't give them human vitamins, as the iron is enough to be toxic, as are vit A and others..they make great pet vitamins, but feeding a premium quality food is the very best you can do for him..
Kibbles like Canidae, Innova, Wysong, Solid Gold, Wellness, natural Balance, Purina Pro Plan, are real investments in your pet's health and long life..Plus, they will make him look like a million..
Premium kibbles cost more per bag, but way less per month, as dogs eat less, because they need less..
fish oil capsules are fine..but not the others..

Fish oil capsules are fine, human vitamins are at the wrong dosage for animals. If you feed a better brand of dog food than adding a teaspoon of olive oil to the kibble is just as good and they wouldn't need a separate vitamin.

If you have a female "*****" in heat or pregnant then they do need supplements. I've always used dessicated liver tablets. Good strong pups

Feed your dog eggs to help keep his skin and coat healthy, this might make him pretty gassy though, so I would recommend a good, nutritionally balanced dog food (not the cheapest stuff that is mostly filler), regular brushing, and bathing with an oatmeal based dog shampoo. As for the vitamins, you can get pet vitamins in the pet care section of most department stores, and I think they even cost less than people vitamins, but you should check with a vet first about anything like that.

Salmon oil capsules are great for dogs! My dogs have been getting them for years after a vet's recommendation and it makes a huge difference in their coat and skin condition, especially in the dry winter weather. A dog who's eating a good quality dog food shouldn't need multi-vitamins and I wouldn not give a dog a human vitamin.

Don't ever give your dog medication that humans use. They could contain things that could be harmful to your dog. Take it to the vet and ask them for something to help it's skin.

Giving your dog a well-balanced diet, regular grooming & exercise should help a little bit too.

Well known brands of dog food have all the proper vitamins and minerals that your dog needs to stay healthy.

Fish oil is OK, but human vitamins are not.
Check the Fat content on the dog food label. A higher fat content will give the dog a glossy coat and healthy skin. My dog food is a little high on fat, but it is what the breeder has me feeding by contract. It's 23% Fat. Maybe you should change dog food to one with a higher fat content. My dogs coats really shine.
