that breakfast has more than 1000 calories, ditch the muffin, make one of the glasses of milk a glass of water, and eat some fiber cereal low in sugar.
walk the stairs, park far away or walk all together, for a few months drink only water, and black coffee if you must or unsweetened tea.
engage your stomach muscles all day if you can, while sitting, cleaning, working, etc.

Your breakfast sounds like it was a great start to the day! Just remember to watch those muffins... some (especially store bought ones) can have a lot more fat and calories than you might expect.
As for taking the stairs- every bit helps! Best of luck with your weight loss plan!

The stairs can't hurt. Ease up on the milk. The first thing I do in the morning is drink a big glass of water. You body has just gone an extended period of time(sleep) without any fluids. Dehydration can be a factor before you ever get to the stairs.

Taking the stairs should be a small part of a whole plan to change your excercise and diet. Walk the stairs to the 10th floor at lunch time every day for 3 months, then you'll notice a difference. Cut out high fat foods too. Good luck

yes exercise with reduced calorie intake is the secret to successful weight loss.
keep in mind if you weigh 175 that means you have to eat about 1750 calories a day to maintain that weight. IF you exceed that you will gain and if you lower your calorie intake you will lose.
Make the milk non fat 8oz
banana is fine
the muffin is high in calories and usually full of sugar, unused sugar in the body converts to carbs and then are stored as fat.
good luck

Taking the stairs is good, but make sure you have good foodwear. Do it daily, and you will see the difference.
The breakfast is good, calcium, Carbo, Pottasium...muffin just give you the sugar and calarie for energy...you should get enough from the banana already...so could skip the muffin.

I think it's great you want to start the day with a good breakfast! A better choice might be oatmeal, yogurt with blueberries and strawberries. Any physical activity you do is wonderful. The key to weight loss is eat less and move more!
