My mom told me no, because Maya will not remember it when she gets older,s he thinks it will be a waste of money. Which I can see because we arde stationed in Germany and all of our family are back in Oklahoma and Kansas. Did anyone throw a party fr their one year old?

The first year is a milestone. Give her a party, she deserves it. Look at what Maya had to go through the past 12 months. Entering this unfamiliar world, taking injections that no grown-up would be able to tolerate in such a number, striving to see the big picture, learning the basics of eating, socializing, loving, being loved, communicating which she finds frustrating at times and doing it all with smiles.
Your young lady has come a long way, the occasion should be celebrated.
Happy Birthday Miss Maya.

Hell yeah throw her a party. When my niece and nephew turned one best believe they had a party. Take pictures and then have thm for a later time in your childs life so they can see what went one. Remember this is there first full year in the world and that calls for a celebration.

Give the little Angel one grand party. She may not remember the party but you will remember this party for life long.
Remember you as a parent should always fulfill your responsibilities and throwing a party for the little one is part pf your responsibility
When they grow old then they may not want you in their party, hence throw a grand party and enjoy
Give my good wishes to her on her birthday

if only to take pictures for memories, yes, just a little one with a small homemade cake & a candle & some ballons, take pictures to send to everyone, also start a memerie photo album of her to look at when she gets older, I,d wished I,d done that. try sorting & putting albums together of 2 boys 25 years later, no easy task I,ll tell ya.
