a bit more detail to want you want to do would be a help. if you want to reduce size increase your cv and do light wieghts high reps. this will also tone up.you can also do pyramid sets heavy wieght and reduce do three sets straight off.this reduces the time spent on the wieghts and gives the body a cv work out.muscle and fitness mag is a good one to look at and the maximuscle web site is very good.good luck and enjoy

for anyone who wants to reduce fat and tone up muscle on their upper-body ...

a combination of good diet and overall exercise is a good start, then you can add specific upper-body exercises - either in a gym or ... i have tried mild running carrying some small weights as i pump my arms - it's amazing how heavy they can get very quickly!

note: it is not a good idea to treat one area of our bodies and ignore the rest - we are one whole body, not a collection of bits, so emphasis should be on the whole & changes should be applied across our whole lifestyle

I'm no expert but i do know that exercises such as running and cycling for sustained periods can reduce muscle mass. This is because when your body requires energy during this form of exercise it breaks down muscle cells rather than fat cells. This is because it is the easiest and quickest way of getting the energy required.

If you mean reduce fat, thenyou should understand that you cannot spot reduce, (from one particular area), during exercise and daily living fat is taken equally from all over the body.
