My 18 year old son's hair, over the past 6 months, has now gone from "normal" to "greasy/oily" and he's really upset as he doesn't want to wash his hair daily. Can anyone recommend a good shampoo for his type of hair please? He's tried T-Gel's shampoo for greasy hair but would like to try others. We're in the UK so would prefer any recommendations easy to buy here! Many many thanks for your help and advice.

In my case Herbal Essences showed the best. You can try that one.

He may not have a choiuce over not washing it daily. At 18 if I didn't wash mny hair daily I looked like i had dripped it in butter.
I find that salon products are better than stuff you buy in the grocery store. They may seem more expensive but they last longer and they stylist can recommend something for his hair type.

he has to wash it daily...he has too..thats why its greasy and he needs to wash his hair and scrub his hair until there is a lather..thats why its greasy..he's not washing his hair good enough. and products..if he does..also makes your hair greasy..also..if he's ethnic ..sometimes certain people have greasy hair..just make sure its washed good...and..thats it.. maybe try..horse shampoo..i know it sounds wierd because its for horses but it is okay for human use..it will help his hair not be so greasy..also if he uses conditioner i would stop using that and only use shampoo.

My dermatologist said to wash daily, but she also said to add a dollop of liquid Dial soap to the shampoo because it helps fight the grease. Maybe it would help him stretch out the time, but most people who want to look good wash their hair every day.

i dont know if "mane and tail" is available in ur area but its such an effective shampoo. its used for horse but works perfect for human hair as well...
