How do you pronounce..?

Quincampoix. It's the last name of a character in the movie Amelie, and we can't remember how to pronounce it.

it appears to be French

the last syllable of the name has the same vowel sound as the french "trios" (twau)

can cam pwah would be the nearest to the pronunciation you can spell in English sounds. The "qu" sound in French is never "kw" always a hard "k" sound
