Maybe you can familiarize her with the people by showing her pictures of them. I do this with my kids and it works everytime. They are shy sometimes, it is normal, but I hope that this helps you a little! Good luck!!

Your post looks like you are in India...India has a tradition of greeting visitors....do not make your daughter do this by force...you will just make her more unhappy later. Let her approach new people as she is comfortable with it. There is no great hurry....marriages at 25 and even 30 are becoming common in modern countries so she probably has plenty of time to grow into the social diva you would like her to be.

She may be just shy (or perhaps a little territorial if she is doing this at home - attention is drawn away from her by others entering her "airspace" ). She probably needs to socialise more - take to parks with the relatives and friends and see if she'll play around them. Ease her into activities around the friends and relatives. Get the relatives to engage in an activity she is interested in and see if she'll join in. This will take time and patience and for sanity's sake don't rush things. This will take time and patience from you and everyone around you.
Good luck and kind regards.

how old is she? If she is very young you cant make her if she doesnt want to, as she gets older you can explain what rudeness is etc. If shes older and very shy try not to force her.
When my daughter was little she didnt want to say hi to anyone and came off as a very grumpy kid.
You continue to greet people the way you do in a friendly way and eventually it will rub off as she gets older, just dont force her yet- her social skills arent up to par yet.
How old is she?

If young child - Allow her to get comfortable with the situation and the new people around her. She is not being rude, but being surrounded by strange giant people would probably scare anyone. Look at it from her point of view.

Sounds like she needs a little social experience. Get her out more in public spaces do things where she has to interact with others.
