Yes ecosystem has been altered due to man made activities, pollution could be classified into different types.

Partly, but we have been at this stage at least four times before. Pollution of course doesn't help. Our planet is continually changing, people laugh when you mention Lemuria or Atlantis but one day soon I hope they will learn more about the changes leading up to their disappearance and we will be more understanding about our ecology.................
