double standards that are stupid, I think. I wonder that too by the way. WHY IN THE WORLD???? it doesn't make sense to me either

Its how we are brought up. Young men are taught that if you sleep with a lot of women, then you will be good at it. You will be a "REAL" man then. That sissy men only sleep with one or two people in their life. While women are taught to save their purity. That you should save your "gift"(virginity) for the right man and that its wrong to throw such a precious thing away. And that if they have sex with more than a few people they are trash and easy and cheap.
It steams from the fact that a woman's virginity can be measured. You can tell when and if she has had sex, because her Hyman is broke. However, you can't tell when a man has sex, because there is no visible evidence.
In the old days men had many wives, so they could make lots of children. So they were expected to sleep with all of these women to produce offspring, their offspring. But the women were only allowed one husband and they were only allowed to sleep with him, so they could produce his offspring and further his legacy.

it's because of the history of humankind where men are considered to be superior to women, though we are now in a new generation, the belief that men are superior to women prevailed for too long that's why its not easy to ignore it instantly. that belief has a strong factor even in today's age that's why even we want it or not, men has more liberty to have sex than women as long as the eyes of the public is concerned.
