It's open, it's free, it's fun and it's exciting. No Fear No Shame Life is Great couldn't be any better. If I want to go to a Gay Bar I go with no fear, If I want to go to a Gay Strip Bar I go, No Fear, If I want to go to a Gay Church I go, No Fear, That's Just the USA For you no better place in the world, no fear of nothing, do what you want everyday

don't listen to anyone that tells you different, anyone that tells you different are the hateful religious freaks that have no say on what goes on in America. They have no real power they only preach hate, while the rest America Marches on without them. They are pathetic. If they were still in power we would still have slavery, but they are few and weak, and soon will be just an embarrasing pa

First, I have absolutely no problem with gay people. I am glad to hear that you count America as a very open place to live, and this is as it should be. To be openly gay in most of the world is a very risky proposition. An example would be any Islamic country, and that in itself covers quite a bit of the globe.
What I don't get is why gays align themselves with the Left in America?
True conservatives will be the ones that protect all Americans from the Islamic Fundamentalist that seek to do us all harm, in particular homosexuals. The ACLU and the left seek to confer "rights" on the very terrorist that wish you the most harm.
Please consider your political affiliation. As you stated, America is the most liberal country on the planet, but we must stop those that would use this liberalism against us.

That was the Idea. but you are only as free as the people in your area allow you to be. The smaller the city the more power the local religion has over the peoples minds and reactions to anything.which usually shame , fear and hate for anyone who thinks differently than them.

I agree with the principle of what you are saying however there are a couple of points to consider. There are still communities that would quite literally lynch a person in the most horrific ways rather than accept his/her's sexuality. There are people who still believe sexuality is a disease, if it deviates from what they consider to be the norm. There are people who feel alone or segregated by their sexuality when they see adverts on TV or read the papers or even talk to people who go on about families, kids and marriages. Don't get me wrong all these potential barriers can be surmounted, but let's not be blind to them either. There will always be differences and extreme views, it is too simple to blame religious extremists, because some of the prejudice runs deeper than that. Yes, in some areas things have moved on, but in a significant majority things haven't and we need to not only be aware of that, but be willing to lend support where and when we can.

i think that you all have it very good here. but i think that the gay marriage issue is a form of repression in and of itself.

once they legalise either a federaly recognised civil union or marriage system you all will actually be treated as equals by the government. and have access to partners healthcare and death benifits.

untill then at least you do not have to hide and that is an accomplishment of itself.

Do you live in a big city? Smaller areas have a tougher time. I'm happy that you feel completely free and do not feel hatred directed at you, that's wonderful! It's my wish that all people feel what you expressed. Good answer.

Well what you describe is similary to the 'similar but equal' code. You know the one where there was a 'white school' and a '***** school.'

Hopefully the next step will be going to just a Bar or Church, but I understand why you'd want a seperate one too. = ]

you mean, i can do sodomy in texas without penalty? how about alabama? kansas? dorothy lived in kansas, so i think it will be safe there.

the us of a is not that free. white people here are still sexually prudish and violent compared to most white europeans. except in san francisco, the gayest place on earth, white folks there are really nice. but then you have those godd*mn immigrants who brought with them their old world nonsense. but its still nice there.

I think you're pretty close, but here in Texas, I can't recall ever seeing a pro-gay-tolerance bumper sticker. I suspect people here are afraid of their cars being vandalized.

there comes a time when people have to much freedom, and this is it, if you want to jump up and down and declare your a puff, and we have to listen to your ranting about freedom etc,to me you and your kind are an unatural species in this world, and you should be condemned for it,no i am not a religious nut ,i'm just an ordinary person who thinks that homo's lesbians etc are a blight on our society.

I suppose so, but the US still does not allow gay marriage, in almost all states.
