Illegals (and those with legal papers) are always the scapegoats for what's wrong with this country.

Buy the way minimum wage has not been raised since 1997...what a load of crap!

Many Americans would (even jobless ones) would never do even half of the crappy jobs that Immigrants do!

It's a damn shame that our Immigrant forefathers had to go through the same bull-s@%&#! as present day immigrants!

Shame on all of us. May God fogive us and have mercy upon us all!

First off here is what im going to say

Problem #1

Big buisness: Is it possable that hard working americans (and yes there are hard working americans) can do these jobs?
can big buisness hire regular americans and pay them well and still make a profit??? This is a big question and the answer is yes lets take a look at it shall we

Kellogs (cereal products) hires people to work for 20 dollars an hour and gives all the overtime you want. They do not hire illegal people and yet they are in deed the highest paid cereal company around everything almost has a kellogs logo on it when you buy cereal.

The problem i have is freedom..... Do middle class people have freedom?>??????? Well lets say that illegal people come here and take those middle class jobs leaving middle class people broke.

Again can big buisness make a profit off of good wages and not hire illegals? Yes many companies do.

Do you remember the day when people could have alot of kids in america and still live life work hard and play hard and still make a good wage???? Oh ya its called the baby boomers but because of illegals this is nearly impossable know a days.

So is it greedy that america wants it jobs? no why is it greedy?

You guys continue to cost our medical system to hurt

prime example you say many of your people are hard working yet there are so many collecting welfare and get free medical while to the average american or middle class there isnt a good medical offered in jobs (or rarely offered)

Is it fair that somebody with illegal status gets better medical then the actual american citizen

FIX BIG BUISNESS AND YOU FIX IMMIGRATION point blank

If companies that hire illegal workers would raise the pay to minimum wage and treat people fairly it wouldn't even be an issue. Americans would work the jobs. These companies are the greedy ones. They do not have to pay fair wages, they just occasionally pay a fine and then it is back to hiring more illegals.

Pancho's restaurant here is a good example. Twice I have been there when INS came and took most of the employees. I heard one tell a waitress on the way out (in Spanish) I will be back in a week my love, do not worry. And I will bet anything he was. Pancho pays a fine and then it is back to hiring illegal aliens.

My taxes have skyrocketed in the past ten years and illegal immigrants are a large part of the reason. By using Federally funded (through taxes)programs that were put there for citizens of the USA, not illegal immigrants. Wages have gone DOWN, not UP like they're suppose to. I KNOW it is because of illegal immigrants. I worked for a manufacturing plant in 1986 that started new hire out at $11.25/hr. That same plant now starts new hires out at $8.00/hr and they DO hire illegal immigrants. That's 20 YEARS!! No, illegal immigrants aren't the cause of all Americans problems, but they are a LARGE reason for a large part OF them. The fact is, PLENTY of Americans would work the jobs illegals work, for the wage they are accustomed to. We are not in a third world country. We don't work for slave wages. Given a livable wage, Americans will work those jobs, they did before the illegal thieves came here. They should come here legally, not slither in illegally and cause havoc.

low wages? the average illegal makes $26 an hour when you figure in his free health care...schools for his children..interpreter for his child if needed...the list goes on and on...the wages would not be so low if illegals werent here and more people would work the jobs...many of the jobs they have taken used to be high paying construction jobs...they hired the illegals and dropped the wages and health care...Businesses that hire them are causein the problems

you call americans greedy when there have been recent protests from illegals, they want the benifits that americans or legal immegrants get, but while they are chanting, they are doing it in spanish (not a legally recognized american language) and holding up a mexican flag...now who is greedy? they claim to want to be in this country yet hold so dearly to their native flag? why do illegals deserve anything from a country that they've shown disrespect and contempt for? i call them, looking for a hand out when it isn't deserved, greedy. as an amercian citizen born in this country, i don't want or need to pay for them to live here or be on welfare, when they get paid under the table and don't pay taxes! that isn't fair to me or any other hard working american. yes they may take the jobs most of us wouldn't do and work for little to nothing, but the fact is, because they are willing to work for little to nothing, the americans that have done these jobs for years or gone to college to do it get pay cuts and lose out because the workers will come cheap so they are easily replaced. i don't think that our families or friends should lose a job because they get $15 an hour to build a house, but an illegal will do it for minium wage.....illegals put themselves in a postion of having to take a sh*t job that pays nothing because any respectable company wouldn't pay you under the table.

i know i pointed out mexicans, i have nothing against them, however in every news report of the protests in DC and everywhere, i saw predominantly people holding up the mexican flag. so sorry to single out one country's people but when that is what is all over the place, that is the best refrence.

I don't think your question should be an either/OR question. American economics is based on greed. Illegal immagrants do mostly seasonnal, agricultural work, keeping food prices low. If food prices were to go up, other prices would be forced down as people would not have the money to waste on luxury items, keeping corporate greed in check

Neither. The principal problems that the US is facing is how to deal with terrorists, maintain the economy, and determine an appropriate level of taxation and government spending. Illegals obviously have little to do with any of this; greed is not a factor either.

Yes, illegals are to blame. Resources will not be plentiful if millions of undocumentos are breaching our borders daily.
